Pregnancy massage helps with overall circulation, relaxation, stretchmark's, and much more. It is my goal to help your body cope to the changes pregnancy puts on your body.
Fertility massage is so helpful for both women wanting to get pregnant and those who don’t want to get pregnant. Fertility massage helps in hormonal balance, heavy periods, painful cramping, repositioning the uterus, unblocking fallopian tubes, and so much more. Fertility massage is all abdominal work which is an emotional gateway and some people can have emotional releases which can release a lot of stress, pain, and tension in the body when released. This massage is done with both light and deep work.
Benefits of Fertility Massage:
- Helps reposition a tilted uterus.
- Unblock Fallopian Tubes.
- Helps with endometriosis.
- Helps with Ovarian cysts.
- Painful cramping is decreased.
- Promotes hormonal balance.
- Break up scar tissue.
- Increases circulation to uterus and cervix.
- Improves endocrine system communication.
- Encourages liver to get rid of excess hormones.
- Helps the body get rid of old stagnant blood and tissues.
- Promotes hormone balance by strengthening the hormonal feedback loop.
Infant massage is all about the infant and what they want. They know what they like and what they don’t. In infant massage it is all based on what the infant wants and goes to their schedule so this massage is not the same for every infant. Some want more massage on their arms and hands and less on their back for example. You go to their itinerary not yours. Massage is soooo extremely beneficial for not only infants but children of any age. Massage can be extremely uplifting and help with self-image and self-worth which can be great when they are older especially with bullying and self-image. Infant massage can be done one-on-one or in a group setting. The one-on-one can be done in my massage room on the table or mats, or, I do travel to do home calls because some infants only like a familiar setting. (Sign Language for Infants can also be incorporated & taught to parents).
Benefits of Infant Massage:
- Preterm infants have improved weight gain.
- Circadian rhythm
- A sense of love and caring
- Helps their body cope with growth spurts.
Sports Massage focuses on both the clients’ strengths and weaknesses. Incorporating stretching, compression, and fast fluid strokes for pre-event and inter-event. Post-event is done when the client is done competing giving them a few minutes to rest before you start these slower fluid stretching and effleurage strokes. Recovery massage is an hour massage focusing on any tight or injured muscles or soft tissue areas and aiding them in a quick and less painful recovery. Just like as in working out for your muscles to grow you get micro tears in the muscle fibers, when athletes compete or have sporting events the same thing happens and you are there to help them lower their injury risk and have a long sports career.
Benefits of Sports Massage:
- Maintain the body generally in better condition.
- Prevent Injuries and loss of mobility.
- Cure and restore mobility to injured muscle tissue.
- Boost performance.
- Extend the overall life of your sporting career.
- Increase tissue permeability.
- Breaks down scar tissue.
- Improves tissue elasticity.
- Opens micro-circulation.
- Pain reduction.
- Reduce anxiety.
My Name is Mandi,
I am a licensed Massage Therapist here at Revitalize Wellness, and have been Licensed since January of 2004. I received my training at Rogue Community College, graduating in June of 2003. After receiving my license, I began working as a traveling massage therapist, doing massage out of people’s homes. I began teaching at RCC in January of 2006, taking over the Hydrotherapy Portion of Massage Therapeutics, and in the Spring of 2011, I was hired to teach Pregnancy Infant Massage, and am still currently teaching both courses. In 2008, I began working within the Chiropractic field performing muscle work on patients before their chiropractic treatments. I learned a lot, especially from Dr. Nick Baker, and his twin brother, Dr. Nate Baker. I was recently given the opportunity to branch out and begin my own massage practice, here at Revitalize Wellness, with Nikki Boles LMT. I will always appreciate the knowledge I was gifted, while working with these two doctors, but feel that I can now serve the Rogue Valley with great pride and success.
I have worked on a variety of different cases, from the individual who need muscle work due to a stressful situation, to an injured athlete or a victim of a motor vehicle accident…whatever your ailment, I’m confident that we here, at Revitalize Wellness will be able to meet your needs.
Thank-you for choosing to visit our practice, we hope to see you soon!
Mandi R. Feetham, LMT
